Kilchoman Autumn 2009
Feb 14th, 2010 | By Administrator | Category: Tasting Notes
Age: At least 3 years old
Color: Golden straw
Appearance: Oily, with thick legs.
Nose: A smoored (damp) campfire with sweet vanilla pod, plasticine and some orange.
Palate: Great mouthfeel, lovely and oily. Big smokyness, heavy marmalade, vanilla pod with a ‘junket’ character.
Finish: Very clean, light lingering smoke that becomes very dry.
Verdict: An astounding whisky that totally belies its youth. If you are a fan of Islay whisky, this is a must.
