Welcome to the Whisky Galore blog.

Some of you might be wondering what on earth a blog is, so let us quickly explain. A blog is simply a kind of website that allows us to post interesting whisky-related news and articles, updates about specials going on in the shop, our commentary and opinion on new products or whatever else takes our fancy. The really interesting part about a blog is that each article we post has a section where anyone can add comments about the article – offer us your two cents, chip in with an interesting observation or just generally voice your opinion on the subject.

To celebrate the launch of the blog, we’re giving away a bottle of Benriach 12 year old to the best bit of blether (an old-Scots term meaning to gossip / have a yarn) or comment on the blog for the month of August. It doesn’t have to be a long-winded or fancy comment, just something that makes us laugh or is insightful, preferably both!

The ability for you to interact with us and other readers is something that we’re very excited about, so we do hope you’ll not be shy about letting us and others know what you think, and knowing a lot of you, this won’t be a problem!
